Shingle Mill Lake 2023
Hike to Shingle Mill Lake 2023

Photos from this hike span two days. The first day we got rained out (hail, in fact, which left welts on everyone in our group). The second day was a group of 4 adults.

I can’t remember who Sean is, but Ryan is my brother and Bill is my dad. This tree is not far from our old family cabin.

CW is C. Wilde, a rancher from a century ago (marked trees from the ’20s and ’30s). I would love more information about him. DeVon I assume is a relation.

About a mile and a half up the trail is less obvious but there are usually some cairns to mark the route.

Meadow with cairn

This ravine is just below the lake and in the spring you can usually find some runoff.

Some salamanders.

Sometimes the alpine firs grow in really thick clusters.
